The Mark Twain Student Council consists of students from third to fifth grades. Students are nominated for positions in October by their peers. Each individual classroom selects two representatives. Among those representatives, a president, vice president, secretary and treasurer are chosen by the Student Council body. Our meetings are twice a month at recess time on days that are appropriate within the school calendar.
Mark Twain Student Council’s purpose is to serve our school in the following ways:
1. Plan special days for the elementary school.
2. Promote school spirit.
3. Helping others who are in need.
4. Serve by example as positive role models.
