The Wheeling CCSD21 Board of Education today announced the resignation of Staci Allan, effective March 11, 2025, after 18 years of dedicated service.
Staci has been a pillar of the CCSD 21 community, serving on the Board of Education since 2007. During her tenure, she has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the students, families, staff, and the communities District 21 serves.
“For 18 years, Staci has been a tireless advocate for our children,” said Debbi McAtee, president of the Board of Education. “Her dedication to ensuring every student has the opportunity to succeed has been truly remarkable. She has championed initiatives that have fostered inclusivity, promoted academic excellence, and prioritized the well-being of our students. Her wisdom, her passion, and her deep understanding of our community have been invaluable.”
Staci’s contributions extend beyond the boardroom. She has been a strong voice for families, actively listening to their concerns and working collaboratively to address their needs. She understands the crucial connection between a thriving school system and a strong community.
“We are deeply grateful for Staci’s extraordinary service,” said Dr. Michael Connolly, Superintendent of CCSD21. “Her impact on our students and our community is immeasurable. She has left a lasting legacy that will continue to inspire us for years to come.”
The Board of Education has 60 calendar days from the resignation to fill the vacancy. Any interested person may complete an application to be appointed to fill the vacancy on the Board of Education as long as they meet the following qualifications:
