Principal’s Message

Good evening Twain families,

I hope you had a fantastic weekend and enjoyed the beautiful weather.  I spent a lot of time outside and getting fresh air!

Although last week was a short week, it was definitely action packed.  It was great to have our students back in the building and engaged with their peers and teachers.  It is amazing to see the energy that fills the hallways and I am so proud of the hard work our staff and students put in everyday.

If you didn’t get a chance to watch the ENTIRE Skylar TV Episode #11, I highly encourage you to do so!  Keep on the lookout for a new episode every two weeks.

On Saturday, September 11, we honored the 20th anniversary of 9/11.  It is hard to believe that is has been 20 years since that life changing day.  While our students were not alive during that time, it is a day that will forever be a part of history.  If you are interested in sharing with your children, here are some child friendly ways you can do so:

Just a reminder, we have no school on Thursday in honor of the Jewish Holiday, Yom Kippur.  We will resume school on Friday.

Have a wonderful week!

Best,

Alyssa

ADHD Awareness

October is ADHD Awareness Month and State Representative Jonathan Carroll is planning a month-long social media campaign to highlight ADHD statistics and information, and help end the stigma around ADHD.

Rep. Carroll’s office is interested in connecting with any students who may be interested in sharing how ADHD makes them feel. Students are invited to submit a picture, drawing, or other creative work, which would then be showcased online.

Please contact Elly Fawcett-Neal ([email protected]) from Rep. Carroll’s office for more information.
